This site targets WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Every link and every form works without JavaScript, every interactive control is keyboard operable, motion respects prefers-reduced-motion, and the lime-on-dark palette was chosen for a contrast ratio above 7:1 on body text.
What we have built in
- Works without scripting. The full-screen menu needs JavaScript to open, so an identical link tree renders as a plain list when scripting is unavailable, and the footer carries the complete site index. The quote form is a real
POSTto our own endpoint, so it submits and confirms with scripting entirely disabled. - Keyboard first. A skip link opens every page. The full-screen menu and the full-screen quote dialog both trap focus, close on Esc, and return focus to the control that opened them.
- Semantic structure. One
h1per page, a nested heading outline, realtablemarkup with scoped headers and captions, labelled form fields, and breadcrumb navigation with landmarks. - Motion is optional. Scroll-driven reveals, the fill gauge, the ticker and the count-up statistics all stop at
prefers-reduced-motion: reduce, and the final values are what the server renders — so the information is never trapped inside an animation. - Text scales. Layout is built in relative units and survives 200% zoom and 400% reflow at 320 CSS pixels without horizontal scrolling.
- Contrast. Body text, headings and controls were measured against both the dark and the light band backgrounds. Decorative lattice work sits below 3:1 deliberately and carries no information.
Known limitations
- Wide specification tables scroll horizontally inside their own container on narrow screens. The same data is restated in prose nearby wherever it is load-bearing.
- The fill gauge in the left margin is decorative and hidden from assistive technology. It is also hidden below 1120px to keep the reading column clear.
- Our technical line drawings use text labels inside SVG with an accessible name on the figure. Very long dimension chains are easier to read in the adjacent table.
Testing
Manual keyboard passes, VoiceOver on macOS and iOS, NVDA on Windows with Firefox, Chrome and Safari at 320px, 768px and 1440px, plus automated axe-core checks on every template. We re-test every template when it changes materially.
