Who buys
from the
yard.
Tell us your sector in the message field and we will send the grade and price band that sector normally buys.
Five sectors account for most of what leaves the gate: agriculture, food and beverage, brewing and distilling, chemical and industrial, and construction and water. Each one buys a different grade for structural reasons — agriculture buys technical and Grade A by the truckload, food and beverage buys documented food grade and rebottled, brewing buys stainless and food grade, chemical buys UN-rated and technical, construction buys the cheapest thing that holds water.
Grade by sector, and why
| Sector | Usual grade | Driver |
|---|---|---|
| Agriculture | Technical & Grade A | Volume and cost per gallon of storage |
| Food & beverage | Food grade, rebottled | Provenance documentation for audits |
| Brewing & distilling | Stainless, food grade | Hot fills, CIP, flavour integrity |
| Chemical & industrial | New UN-rated, technical | Transport regulation, then cost |
| Construction & water | Technical | Cheapest vessel that holds water |
The common thread
Every one of these sectors was, until fairly recently, buying containers once and paying someone to remove them. The shift we see across all five is the same: the empty container stopped being a cost and became either an input or a credit, and the procurement conversation moved from “what does a tote cost” to “what does a turn cost.”
That is why leasing and pooling has grown faster than outright sales for three years running.

Commercial questions
Do you have a minimum order for commercial accounts?
No. We sell single units to a market gardener and truckloads to a fertiliser blender from the same yard at the same grade standard. Volume affects price per unit and freight per unit, not whether we will serve you.
Can you set up terms and a purchase order process?
Yes. Net 30 on credit approval, consolidated invoicing across sites, and we will work to your PO numbering and your supplier onboarding paperwork. Plenty of our customers are procurement-driven operations and the process is routine.
Which industry buys the most from you?
Agriculture by unit count — irrigation, liquid fertiliser and nutrient handling are enormous volume users of technical and Grade A totes. Food and beverage by revenue, because food-grade and rebottled units carry the higher price. The two together are roughly three quarters of what leaves the yard.
Not sure which grade your sector uses?
Name the industry and the product. We will specify it and tell you where other people in your trade overspend.
